Parents have the right to complain about the organization their athlete is with or make a complaint against something with TYFA.
Submission: When submitting a complaint, please provide a 'detailed' explanation of the issue to ensure that the appropriate TYFA personnel can review and respond to your complaint, and the necessary course of action can be determined.
TYFA will not review and address any complaint or accusation sent in from a fake or anonymous email.
TYFA will not call a person complaining and demanding a call without any details on what the issue may be.
Anonymity: While we respect your right to remain anonymous, we require sufficient context to address the matter effectively. TYFA is committed to maintaining your anonymity to prevent any potential backlash from your organization. To facilitate a fair and objective review, please ensure that your explanation is factual and free from emotional or opinionated statements.
Complaints that will not be addressed
The following list is not all inclusive but gives a general list of potential complaints that TYFA either has no purview over, or will not address because there is no rule against what is being complained about.
Financial Complaints: If your complaint pertains to financial matters, such as the use of funds collected by an organization, please be advised that this falls outside the purview of the Texas Youth Football & Cheer Association. TYFA does not collect registration or fundraising fees and, therefore, cannot intervene in financial disputes between parents and their organizations.
Playing Time: TYFA has no mandatory play rules and therefore the amount of time your athlete participates is determined by your organization and any disagreements are between you and your organization.
