TYFA Insurance
TYFA's Medical Insurance is classified as Secondary Medical Insurance. A Parent's primary insurance must be used for all expenses first. Secondary Medical Insurance is considered primary only if a parent does not have their own insurance.
$ Athlete Policy Benefits
TYFA Medical insurance covers the 12-month period of September 15 thru September 14.
A claim must be made within 90 days of the injury.
Payable for charges within the 52 weeks after the injury.
Athlete Policy
Accident Medical Expense Benefit: $250,000
Accidental Death or Dismemberment Benefit: $10,000Â
Dental Benefit per tooth: $250
Has a $250 deductible.
How to Qualify?
TYFA provides Medical Insurance to all athletes (*1) each season at no additional cost.
An athlete qualifies for the insurance as long as they are certified (*2), not disassociated (*3) and does not get a season ending suspension.
Athletes qualify both spring and fall.
(*1) Athletes are Football Players, Cheerleaders, and Dancers.
(*2) In the TYFA App with no holds of any type.
(*3) In the TYFA App on an active roster.
Spectator Injury
If a spectator gets hurt at an event, they may be able to make a claim against the Host's liability insurance.
